Romance Scam - site info
This site is a database of Nigerian and Russian scammers, here you can research if a person who contacted you on a dating service or Yahoo instant messenger was a scam artist.
This site contains an extensive photo gallery with over 7000 pictures and a message board, where you can report scammers.
Internet hoaxes, rumors, scams, and urban legends abound! The point of this page is to stop you all from sending those hoax emails and also possibly save you from getting scammed.

Nigerian Scams - Dr. So and So or Mrs. So and So are in Nigeria or some related country and they need to smuggle millions of dollars out of the country. They somehow have picked you out of 280 million folks in the US to be the one to give 10% of the loot to. All you need to do is contact them and eventually wire them money or your account numbers so they can send you the money. Everything is to kept secret. Ever wonder why they picked you? Why don't they just deposit the money to a PayPal account? Why didn't they contact the US government? Duh! Email these Nigerian geeks back and tell them that you have placed an evil curse on their family and their dog.

Email Forwarding that makes you money
- Bill Gates is going to send you several hundred dollars just for forwarding an email to a few friends. He's testing his email forwarding equipment. Or the Gap will send you a gift certificate or Disney is giving away free trips or... Puh-leeeesss. You are not going to get paid for forwarding an email to your friends! Stop the insanity! Quit forwarding this garbage. We'll let you know when one of these turns out to be true.

Virus Alerts (jdbgmgr.exe)
- Every now and then you may receive an email telling you that you have a virus on your computer. The email will tell you what the file name is and where you can find it. It warns you to delete the file immediately. Many of these alerts from out of the blue are hoaxes. They are telling you to delete files that may be vital to your system. Before you delete any file from your computer do a quick search of the virus name in a search engine or check one of the sites below.

Please remember that even on the Internet, if it sounds to good to be true, then, IT IS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE! Don't get got.
